In-Kind Donation Program
The Tri-County In-Kind Donation Program receives donations of store
returns, unsold inventory and floor models from retail outlets and
distributes them to non-profit agencies that serve low-income and
needy populations in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties.
We distribute goods annually whose Fair Market Value is $1 million.
Ninety-five percent of the items donated have never been used.
Items include:
- Office and classroom supplies
- Toys, sports equipment and musical instruments
- Personal care products
- Bedding and Lenin
- Kitchenware and equipment
- household goods
- backyard items
- bathroom goods
- clothing
- books
- computer equipment
- furniture
A small administrative fee for items is charged to subscribing
nonprofits, and for every 4 cents spent the agency receives $1.00 of
value or more. Many items are free.
